Jennifer Clements has 21 years of experience in the Employee Benefits Healthcare arena and has been an Employer Advocate for Brown & Brown Gulf States since 2012. Jennifer began her insurance career with national carrier Aetna Healthcare in the Provider Relations and Corporate Sales Division. After her departure from Aetna, Jennifer transitioned to a local independent agency as well as the national consulting and brokerage firm Willis, where she served in a senior client management and corporate sales executive capacity.
Since joining Brown & Brown, Jennifer has excelled in the areas of financial data management and risk mitigation. Today, Jennifer’s primary focus is on mid-sized and large complex employer plans for heavy blue-collar companies, multi-location organizations, and management/holding companies with increasing acquisition activities.
As an Employer Advocate, Jennifer’s responsibilities include the coordination and delivery of Brown & Brown resources to clients, management of Self-Funded and Fully-Funded Employer Health and Welfare Benefit Plans, renewal and marketing negotiations with underwriters, facilitating open enrollment and educational opportunities for employees, strategic planning, and supporting additional strategic objectives outlined by the client.
Jennifer attended the University of New Orleans and Concordia University, majoring in Communications and earning a minor in Human Resources. She is currently a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and serves on the public speakers/education committee for the Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM). In her spare time, Jennifer also volunteers for the American Heart Association and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
